Lakewood Arts Fest

Saturday, August 2nd - Our first Lakewood Arts Fest Booth was a huge success! We held a bake sale and raffle for Gravity Games Tickets, Gravity Games T-Shirts, and a skateboard deck donated by West Side Skates.

Cookies and brownies were donated by Danielle Masters and Cathy Frantz and went for 25¢ and 50¢ respectively. The Gravity Games donated several packs of tickets and some T-Shirts and Tank Tops. We will be raffling the rest of them off at upcoming events as well. We also had many new members sign up and many Lakewood residents voicing their support and offering help in our Skatepark Fundraising. The wind and the rain held off enough to make it a great experience and we hope to be a part of future Arts Fests.

Thanks to Mike and Danielle masters for donating their time, tables, chairs, and cooking. Thanks to Brian Jules, Wendy Walker, Michelle Billow, Matt O'Reilly, Cathy Frantz, Vince Frantz, Stosh Burgess, and especially Greg Wolf and his cousin Brad Swanson. They started at 9:00 am and helped setup and stayed until the vans were packed at the end. So it was fitting that Greg would win the pack of two tickets to the Gravity Games! Congratulations, Greg and thanks for all the help.

It IS an Arts Fest. Matt O'Reilly brought some of his paintings up to show at our booth. Even after some collectors offered him some money for his pieces, he still wasn't sure he could part with them.
